Giant Ego

In this project we took a girl and put her in a different room. It was an interesting project and it was a long process with the tutorial videos, on top of losing my file at one point and having to restart. I learned a lot about reflections and shadows from this project and the previous. 

Princess Edit

    Our assignment was to prince or princess a classmate. I decided to make myself Ariel because she's pretty cool.
    I made my picture black and white and added color balance adjustment layers to add all of the colors like skin tone, hair, eyes, lips, shirt, and water. I added the bubbles on the side the same way. I made the document too big so I decided to put a frame around it with the fish on the side because he's adorable and he's kind of posed the same way.  I heightened the brightness and contrast because the original photo had really bad lighting.
    The hardest part was figuring out what colors looked natural in all areas of the picture. Overall, this was a lot of fun.

Crappy to Snappy

    I redesigned Queen's 'The Miracle' album cover. The faces were pretty creepy so I decided to refer to the lyrics of the song 'The Miracle' for the cover. They mention the Taj Mahal at one point and peace in the chorus. The song also mention rain in the first verse. I tried to keep some of the gradient in the background as well as the text ideas from the original cover.

Redesign- Original

The original design is for Queen's 1989 album 'The Miracle'. I plan to change the image of the album because it's really odd and creepy. I plan to relate the lyrics of the title song to the cover including things like the Taj Mahal and rain. The Taj Mahal is mentioned in the lyrics. Rain is usually perceived as peaceful and peace is a theme through out the song. I kept the general idea of the text the same.

Road Map: Cleveland, Ohio

     The project objective was to create a road map for a city of our choice. I was choosing between Cleveland, Ohio and Pasadena, California. Eventually I decided on Cleveland because I thought the buildings int his area were cool. Pasadena would have been a whole lot easier. The Yellow-ish building , the Rock-n-roll Hall of Fame, was pretty simple, it was just a lot of lines and took forever. The pen tool was my best friend in this project. It was a really interesting project and I learned a lot of the features of illustrator, but it took a lot of time. I got stuck on quite a few spots like the perspective, the buildings, and the road names. 

Holiday Project

I made one large red blob and one green blob. Then I liquefied them a bunch and put a solarize filter on it. then I used the wind filter in all different directions. It kind of looked like the static music view on my music editing program so I added a guitar and used the sketch filter. Then I traced a wreath in illustrator and colored it in and put it on the guitar.
